Having only recently discovered this amazing band I found out that they were on their first official tour and stopping through Nashville so I absolutely had to make it out. Their sound is very much in the same vein as Cannons, CHVRCHES, and Phantogram. For being relatively new to the tour life they absolutely had energy on the stage and excellent attitudes. Getting onto stage to a near sold-out crowd they crushed. Jumping directly into the first song “Does It Feel Like This?” and the crowd was singing lyric for lyric back to the stage. I knew that it was going to be an amazing evening. After the first 3 songs were done, the opener Jane Leo joined them on stage and became part of their backing band; which helped fill a big band energy coming out of a normally 2 person act.

Every song performed this evening was nothing short of perfection. Amazing attitudes and enjoyment was felt from the stage which became extremely contagious and always spreads to the crowd. With the crowd singing back every single song that was performed just showed that even though this band only just recently signed a record contract their impact with the music that has been released so far has exceeded anyone’s expectations and excitement. This was by far one of the more anticipated shows for me this year. From the moment I heard the first verse of their song “Hot Blooded” I knew they would be something amazing to see live and they sure met the mark. Closing out the evening with highly anticipated performances of “Hot Blooded”, which to this date on spotify has almost 80 million streams; and “Do What You Want”, the show concluded. After the evening was done they all went to the merch table and were graciously meeting with all fans and taking selfies and signing autographs on posters and things. Which is always a great thing to witness. Seeing appreciative fans meeting equally appreciative artists is always that icing on the cake for a performance. It was amazing to have caught them on their first official tour, and I will absolutely make every single show they play in the future if they come near my location.
