Melvins hit the stage to a highly energized and excited crowd at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, TN. The evening was an absolute fun filled event. They jumped straight into the set playing a multitude of songs from Bullhead and Houdini every one the crowd was fully attuned to the stage. The band was absolutely energized and grateful to be there and play for such a high energy crowd. It was a very well-timed pace of the show but time flew by too fast. Melvins as per usual delivered with a concise and beefy performance. I was happy they made sure to include “Honey Bucket” and “Night Goat” in the setlist. Houdini is one of my all-time favorite albums. Their set only lasted a little bit over an hour but the crowd was in full mosh pit mode and ready to continue the evening with Tokyo-based band Boris came on the stage. This was the first time I had seen Boris perform. And I can say I was impressed. Their sound has elements of psychedelic, sludge, and noise metal. The full evening was a fully immersive experience. Overall it was an evening filled with sludgy metal goodness; Melvins and Boris delivered at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, TN on Tuesday night. This is a band that is highly recommended to catch live even if you aren’t that familiar with their music.
