Saving Abel is a band that hit my radar quickly years ago with their rock vibe wrapped in crunchy riffs and great vocals. After some personnel changes, the band kept touring and playing for the fans, especially those in Flint, MI at The Machine Shop where these guys have been a mainstay. With the return of frontman Jared Weeks, the band featuring original members and guitarists Jason Null and Scott Bartlett along with Scott Wilson on bass and Dave Matthews on drums is back at it and bringing the hits back to the stage and sounding better than they have the last couple tours. They have always been good and kept me coming back, but there was something special in the sound, the smiles, and the overall tone and mood on the stage. The band ripped through fourteen tune that encompassed the first three discs released by the band that featured Null, Bartlett, and Weeks, with 2012’s Bringing Down The Giant providing the most tracks with seven. The bands biggest hits were covered along with fan favorites and songs that seemed to put smiles on the bands faces at times as well. Looking for a night of solid rock and roll with no drama or frills? Hit the venue when Saving Abel hits a stage near you.
