The sun is getting low, and moon is on her way. It’s time to slow things down… and hug this lovely day. Bring calm to bedtime with this gentle lullaby, as you say goodnight to nature’s daytime and welcome the night. Inspired by the bestselling Slow Down with delightful illustrations by Freya Hartas.

Cosy up with creatures great and small with this reassuring bedtime book.

Simple rhyming text encourages little ones to say goodnight to animals and nature they’ve seen during the day, and then hello to nocturnal animals and the moon as they make their way to bed.

A reassuring bedtime read for parents and families.

The sun is getting low,
and moon is on her way.
It’s time to slow things down….
and hug this lovely day.

We’ve passed through day
and into night,
as colour fills the sky.
It’s time to sit and marvel…
at nature’s lullaby.

A sweet story, lovingly illustrated, to guide kids into a calm and restful bedtime.

In saying goodnight to the daytime elements of nature – like water lilies, bees, blackbirds, squirrels, and bunnies, and welcoming the nighttime elements – like foxes, bats, and stars, the book invites everyone to calming down for sleep, all while learning some little things about how animals in nature go about the transition from day to night, this hopefully sets kids up for a restful sleep and a love of and respect for nature.

Slow down at bedtime
Now that you’re tucked up in bed,
take a big breath in…
and out.

Think about the things you’ve seen today…
The friends you met…
The food you ate…
The games you played.

Cuddle up and close your eyes,
and let the feeling of sleep
take you into the night.

Though the rhymes are sometimes a little forced, the message and illustrations here are lovely and soothing, and this is a great way to help get kids into a better sleep-hygiene routine.
