Following on from the first volume of these “happening hits of the hippy era,” this latest compilation from Sony has been affectionately assembled by Brent James with his usual attention to detail. That means comprehensive packaging including a short spiel about each track, and state-by-state chart placings around the country.

Musically, think kaftans and long hair, plenty of dope smoke, and cool and groovy San Francisco vibes.

You can groove and bop to the classic Canned Heat and The Electric Prunes, rock out with Jefferson Airplane, Loggins & Messina and Santana, get freaky with Donovan, Lobo and The Strawberry Alarm Clock and much, much more.

It’s a trip, man.
