Them Evils popped onto my radar when I saw them open for The Pretty Reckless back in 2017.  Having enjoyed that show, I couldn’t wait to take this EP for a spin.  Disc opener “Got Me Rockin'” kicks off with a cool fuzzy guitar riff and soon we get a killer vocal and some fun percussion in the fray, carrying us through the first verse.  The song sets the pace for the disc, thanks to the tempo and catchy chorus.  Be sure to pay attention to the guitar licks in the bridges and transitions.  “She Got Nothin'” picks up where the last track left off with the guitar tones, tempo, and fun.  The chugging riff that takes us into the verse gets the head banging and the foot tapping.  This song grabs you and keeps your attention, even without a contagious chorus.  “Gets Me High” is one of my favorite songs on the short collection.  The rhythm section seems to explode on this track and the vocals dance across the mix.  The layered vocals at the chorus add depth and the lyrics are fun.  “Have One On Me” is a good track, but seems slightly out of place on this collection.  The guitars are solid and the percussion blends well, but the tempo of the track deviates from the groove cut by the rest of the disc.  “Untold” is a good representation of the bands sound – solid and straightforward.  The bass and drums lead the charge, but the vocals and guitars come together and swirl perfectly in the mix.  Disc closer “Practice What You Preach” is a bit slower of a track, but contagious.  The guitar work is some of the best on the disc – chugging and moving throughout the track while the vocals elevate the energy and sound of the disc.  The bass and drums provide the perfect platform for the song and the band is firing on all cylinders on this one!
