Jason Mraz and company are traveling across the country on their summer Good Vibes tour. The Grammy award winner put on a phenomenal performance at the Lawn outdoor concert venue in Indy. Known for his smooth vocals and upbeat lyrics, it was his stage presence that blew me away. His charisma and humor made for a special night. Dressed in a pink jumpsuit, Jason claimed it was to allow him to quickly change into costume for his second career in midnight theater.  He opened with “Let’s See What the Night Can Do.” Afterward he encouraged the crowd to do the wave from front to back. Throughout the night he injected jokes, stories and choreographed dance moves. Mid show he covered “I Say a Little Prayer” and “Respect” in tribute to the late Aretha Franklin. He played all his smash hits, including an acoustic version of “Lucky.” After a short break, he returned for an encore, which was the fitting cover “Good Vibrations.” His show was diverse, engaging and very uplifting. He and band seemed to have as much fun as the audience did on this cool August night!
