The summer weather wasn’t cooperating for Barenaked Ladies. First, the venue was changed from the outdoor Lawn in downtown Indy to Ruoff Music Center which provided a cover to accommodate ticket holders. A downpour and lightning then pushed the gates back an hour. The clouds finally cleared and the openers KT Tunstall and Better Than Ezra got the party started. The Barenaked Ladies out in support of their 12th studio album Faked Nudes, took the stage. The crowd was on their feet from first song to last. For a band that has been together for 30 years, they still seem to be having as much fun as ever. They were all smiles throughout the night with a playful energy. They passed underwear thrown on stage during “Pinch Me” from guitar to guitar. KT Tunstall came back on stage to join in during “Brian Wilson.” Not to be outdone, Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra came out and sang along during “Lookin’ Up.” The popular “Big Bang Theory Theme” was included in the diverse setlist. Drummer Tyler Stewart came front stage to sing the Queen cover “Another One Bites the Dust.” As more rain was heading in the guys were wrapping up. Despite the weather obstacles, everyone seemed to have a great time. The Barenaked Ladies always bring the fun and with their new material show there is no slowing down.
