Swiss rockers present a heady combination of gothic grooves, Steampunk visuals and melodic power rock songs, all delivered in a combination of French and English, resulting in a decidedly unique sound.
Singer, guitarist and keyboard whizz Lord Campbell vocals soar majestically throughout The Age Of Decadence with a versatility that makes it hard to believe it’s him on every song (though Soprano Carlyn Monnin does guest on Forgive Me).
Silver Dust’s modern take on gothic metal is moody and atmospheric – Steampunk metal may be a more apt description, making their sound unique. Overtones of Industrial rock and classical influences seep into their songs, as do the essence of bands as diverse as Queen, Metallica and Tool, and it all comes together to produce an album which sounds and feels as grandiose as their ornate look and – from all reports – their interactive, magical stage show full of visual effects and costumed finery.
