Sideburn’s eighth album #EIGHT is literally dripping with the sweat of AC/DC beer barn rock n’ roll, Mike Riffart and Lawrence Link’s rhythm guitars every bit as razor’s edge sharp and on point as Malcolm Young’s rock solid best.

The Swiss rockers have contributed music to Wolverine, 24 and the Bradley Cooper movie Hit & Run recently, and it’s easy to see why they’re a go to band for Hollywood’s moguls.

Roland Pierrhumbert’s vocals are as gloriously gravel-burnt as any of the rock greats, and his bluesy harmonica livens up the likes of Driving On The Main Line, whilst their cover of No Class brings out the ZZ Top influence in the Motorhead classic.

Sideburn can rock out with the best of ‘em, but crucially, they know that what they don’t play is just as important as what they do: Save Your Soul and Got To Move On are slower blues grinders, the space between the notes only adding power to the tunes.
