Following Sarah Knight’s instant best-seller The Life Changing Magic Of Not Giving A F**K (subtitled, How to stop spending time you don’t have doing things you don’t want to do with people you don’t like), is her next smash hit: Get Your Shit Together – How to stop worrying about what you should do so you can finish what you need to and tart doing what you want to do!
It’s simple advice – advice that we find harder and harder to relate to as our lives are overloaded by torrents of information and a tsunami of social media telling us how to think.
Knight’s advice works – she quit a high paying corporate job, built a home in the Caribbean and lives there in year-round summer, and her sense of humour as she uses her own journey as an example of how to discard what doesn’t matter and focus on finding the truth inside of us, and set realistic, practical, achievable goals, makes this not only a practical and positive read, but also an entertaining one.
Readers might dive in and fully immerse in Knight’s methodology, or might cherry pick and use some ideas to streamline their lives – either way, there is little doubt she HAS got her shit together, and taking some of her suggestions on board will help us all to do similar.
We may not all end up living in the Caribbean, but we can help build a more positive life by better identifying our goals, laying out a step-by-step strategy, and committing to our new focus.
Some other stuff you might dig
