Someone must have been feeding this ten-legged Melbourne riff machine iron filings to make them so fucking metal: this debut album is immense – and fucking heavy!

Featuring about an equal mix of clean and scream vocals, laden with pounding double bass drums and bursts of staccato machine gun tom blasts, the rhythm section is clearly working overtime, while the guitars slay with a fantastic and pristine clear and sharp sound that references Pantera and Metallica with just the right amount of thrashyness.

What’s most striking is the confidence and coherency of the songwriting, performances, album concept and artwork – the whole package hits all the right buttons. For such a young bunch of dudes, the achievement is impressive, and marks them as an act that the international prog metal scene will need to watch out for from here on in.
