Fast, furious and frenzied French punk rock that sounds like it’s made by a pack of wild dogs who’ve sent too much time drunk on cheap red wine listening to The Exploited and Anti-Nowhere League albums.
Growling deeply about the big issues (We: The Stupid People, Pool Of Beer, Looking For Cougars), Full Throttle Baby don’t seem to care about me or you, or even themselves on 2013’s EP1. Give them a pot of glue to sniff and the electricity to make their noise and they will doubtless love you forever.
A year later they gave birth to EP2, and not much has changed. They still look like something the cat dragged in, chewed up then threw up, and there’s more hard rock riffing than punk bluster – but those important issues are still being spat out with admirable vitriol (Blue Balls, Don’t Touch My Moped, Take Your Teeth Back).
Far from essential, Full Throttle Baby are, however, a good, angry, fun listen when the mood calls for it – or when someone’s touching your moped.
