AUSTRALIA’S HAILMARY ANNOUNCE UK TOUR SUPPORTING UGLY KID JOE
After 3 years of non-stop Australian touring, West Australian hard rock band HAILMARY have updated their passports and will hit the road this September for their first overseas tour with 14 shows planned throughout the UK.
HAILMARY have been personally invited by UGLY KID JOE as their main support for 11 UK dates on their September Tour to promote the release of the American superstar band’s first full length album in 19 years “’Uglier Than They Used Ta Be”. The Tour will take in shows in Milton Keynes, Manchester, Glasgow, Nottingham, Reading, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Bristol, Brighton and London between September 14 and 26.
Opening the shows will be RICHARDS/CRANE the new outfit by UGLY KID JOE singer Whitfield Crane and original GODSMACK guitarist Lee Richards. The new band’s first single, “Black & White”, is a duet with ALTER BRIDGE/SLASH singer Myles Kennedy taken from their forthcoming debut album, “World Stands Still”.
HAILMARY frontman/songwriter Kevin Curran said the band are stoked to head to the UK and particularly to have the opportunity to share the stage with one of his original influences.
“The very first Album I ever bought was UGLY KID JOE’S “America’s Least Wanted” so it feels really surreal to be invited to share the stage with them on our first overseas tour.
HAILMARY have worked hard touring Australia over the past 3/12 years and feel that the timing is perfect to unleash their live shows to fans in the UK.
“We’re always blown away when the digital sales reports come through to see just how much support we have from overseas. At last count our tracks were being downloaded in over 20 countries, and the UK was right up the top of that list, so to have the opportunity to meet and play for our UK fans in incredible”. Curran said.
Renowned as one of Australia’s hardest working independent bands, HAILMARY’S relentless release and touring schedule, combined with their critically acclaimed live performance has solidified them as one of Australia’s best emerging heavy/hard rock acts and touted by many as an Aussie band that has the potential to mix it with the best in the world.
Their latest release, a 5 track EP titled “Navigate The Sunrise” released in May 2014 and promoted via a massive 26 date, 6 State National Tour continues to garner strong sales and media attention not only in Australia but across the USA and Europe too.
The HAILMARY live show is simply slamming rock music coming at you, loud and proud, like a melodic fist to the face. Don’t miss one of the upcoming shows!!
