Everyone loves a stoner rock groove, and Mammoth Mammoth’s grooves are bigger and more stoned than most: hell, so huge that one ‘Mammoth’ wasn’t enough!

If the riff is King in Mammoth Mammoth’s world – just check the Sabbathy chug of Fuel Injected, the barren-desert-grind of Promised Land or the relentless groove of Sick (Of Being Sick) – then the pursuit of wasted oblivion is Queen: The booze sweat of Hammered Again, or the eternal Sabbath-on-Mandrax groove of high As A Kite, for instance. Electric Sunshine even sounds like Spiderbait on heavy duty peyote.

Sure, Mammoth Mammoth owe a debt to Black Sabbath, but they put such a unique, euphoric spin on it that it’s no wonder the Melbournites have been signed to Napalm Records for this release.

It’s dark and nasty at times, it’s huge and in your face, and if you don’t watch your back it will fuck your shit up. It’s Hammered time.
