Over three series of her self-titled sitcom shows Miranda Hart forged a wonderful rapport with her audience, inviting them into her alter-ego’s world, often with asides to the viewers at home, and brought countless laughs and smiles to the airwaves.
With the final episodes of Miranda screened at Christmas time just gone, this book compiles her favourite six scripts from the series, all tossed together like a giant salad with personal introductions, edits, annotations, photos, asides and general silliness – which is exactly what we expect and want from the down-to-earth funnywoman.
Obviously a book of scripts of a show is entirely targeted towards viewers of said show, but there is much to laugh about here if one chose to use it as a stepping stone to the program itself.
Chock-full of Miranda’s zany, sweet, self-deprecating and entirely human sense of humour, The Best Of Miranda is a joy to flick through from start to finish.
