The sixth annual SUNSET STRIP MUSIC FESTIVAL is quickly approaching. Artists including Semi Precious Weapons, Enuff Znuff, Bang Tango, Cherri Bomb, Hoobastank, The Icarus Line and more are among  those confirmed to perform in The Roxy, Viper Room and Whisky A Go-Go during the three-day fest, August 1-3.

Bands will fill the venues each night as concertgoers make their way up and down The Strip on August 1st and 2nd.  The venue shows are in addition to the Saturday, August 3 street festival featuring LINKIN PARKAWOLNATION, WALE, BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, LOGIC, SLICK RICK/DOUG E. FRESH, ASHER ROTH, FINCH and STREET DRUM CORPS who will perform outdoors on the annual street festival’s two main stages.

The three-day festival kicks off on Thursday, August 1, with a VIP, celebrity event celebrating the influence of 2013 SSMF honoree, Joan Jett. The celebration will be followed with a special performance by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts at House of Blues and full lineups in the venues along the boulevard. SSMF will also feature a free outdoor concert in the lot across the street from The Roxy on Friday, August 2. Presented by Jack Daniel’s and Swing House Studios, the outdoor showcase will feature live performances, DJs and the Grilled Cheese Truck, Border Grill Truck and Joe’s Pizza.

SSMF, which takes place in The Sunset Strip’s music venues August 1-3, culminates on Saturday, August 3 with a street festival from 3:00 – 11:00 p.m.  As in years past for the Saturday event, Sunset Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard and transformed into a premier concert destination with two outdoor stages, full lineup at The Roxy and The Whisky, beer gardens, an artist autograph tent, an outdoor VIP rooftop lounge, VIP Lounge at On The Rox, food trucks and interactive experiences. This year also features new additions, including the Viper Room’s Guitar Center outdoor stage and The Roxy’s Jungle Lounge.
