Sarah Darling’s New Single Now Available on iTunes


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Tuesday, June 4, 2013) — It’s five o’clock somewhere as Sarah Darling releases her new single, “Little Umbrellas,” to fans worldwide on iTunes today. The upbeat, sun-soaked tune is the country star’s first independent single release and the follow-up to her early 2013 hit, “Home To Me.” Called “a catchy summertime anthem” by Got Country, the song will become available for radio adds on Monday, June 24. The iTunes single release comes just in time for the 2013 CMA Music Festival, which takes over Nashville this Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9. Attendees can see Darling perform “Little Umbrellas” and other fan-favorite songs from former albums on Friday, June 7 at 1:40 p.m. CDT  at the Bud Light Stage, located on the Bridgestone Arena Plaza. Brightly colored “Sarah Darling” branded parasols and copies of her “Little Umbrellas” single will be available to fans through the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau at the Visitor Center located inside the Bridgestone Arena beginning Thursday. Darling will sign them for fans at the Visitor Center immediately following her performance from 2:30-3:30 p.m. CDT.

“Little Umbrellas,” which debuted exclusively on Sirius XM‘s “The Highway” last week and has been spinning in heavy rotation since, “…crafts a refreshing perspective for the female vocalists of country music,” according to Nashville Gab, and Got Country adds, “It only takes one listen and you will be smitten with this light and catchy summertime tune.”

Called “a sophisticated songwriter” by The New York Times, Darling co-wrote the new song alongside Nashville songwriters Rob Crosby and Doug Johnson.

Partners supporting the single launch include 764 Records, Red Distribution (a division of Sony Music Entertainment), DigSin and The AristoMedia Group. Darling’s long-time manager,John Alexander, started Alexander Music & Marketing to lead the campaign.
