South Carolina female-fronted technical death metal band YOUR CHANCE TO DIE is thrilled to announce the release of their sophomore full-length album, The American Dream via Red Cord Records. The record is available on iTunes as of yesterday.

In addition, the band has released a new music video for the track ‘Oscuridad’ here: http://youtu.be/d–NgmtnRdQ. Shred-worthy guitar solos, pounding blast beats and shattering growls make this track a must-listen. On a larger scale, the new album The American Dream captures the listener with its heavy yet darkly ambient tracks, bringing a new dimension to the band’s already polished sound.

Now, we know what you’re thinking. Female-fronted technical death metal? Really? Can that possibly work and still be legitimate death metal? Yes, really. Take one listen/watch of their new music video for the single ‘Oscuridad’ and it will become increasingly apparent that this band is all skill and no frill, with a female vocalist that gives many of today’s male death metal vocalists a marathon-worthy run for their money.

YOUR CHANCE TO DIE has already been featured on several radio stations, in national magazines and on countless music websites. See what press has had to say about YOUR CHANCE TO DIE and their sound:

“…this is maximum face-melting-inducing death metal, that carries strong melodic influences enhanced by some great lead guitar work… still can’t believe it’s a woman on vocals! Dudes, just for that give it a listen, and mind your jaw don’t drop to hard against the floor. Death metal aside, any real lover music, and a love for musicianship would concur that there is mad skill on this album.” – The Metal Resource

“Some very fun blasts, off-time breaks and fills, and gallops make the record very fun to listen to. Missi’s growl evokes pain and doom, in a most effective manner. There are hauntingly beautiful melodies, because the guitarists clearly know what they’re doing.” – The New Review

“..[Missi] brings on the rage just as well, if not better, than some male front men. The sound of the band is built on a sturdy groundwork of screeching guitars and the double pedal bass drum styling’s of Daniel Todd. The nine-track album, energetic from start to finish, is filled with whaling guitar solos and heavy breakdowns that will snap your neck.”  – Lexington Music Press Magazine

“What you have here is a band…a band that makes it work. The vocals are straight. When listening, you forget the whole female aspect and just listen to the music for what it is. And what it is, is a brutal assault of melodic death metal.”  – Buried Sound

In 2011 YOUR CHANCE TO DIE released their first official album with Red Cord Records entitled Suscitacio Somnus, recorded and produced by Jamie King (Between the Buried and MeThe Human AbstractFor Today). The full length album received very strong reviews and topped iTunes and FYE lists as the “best-selling metal album” in its first week.

YOUR CHANCE TO DIE has completed three national tours, as well as a successful tour in Central America and two tours in Mexico. In support of the new album, 2013 will bring another national tour, a Central/South America tour, and a European tour. YOUR CHANCE TO DIE has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with a variety of bands such as:Still RemainsiwrestledabearonceFor TodayNileEmmure, and more.
