May 9, 2013, Philadelphia – ASG, the North Carolina psych-rock quartet who are set to release their Relapse debut Blood Drive on May 28, are streaming the song “Blood Drive” via Stereogum (http://stereogum.com/1345332/asg-blood-drive-stereogum-premiere/mp3s/).

The full album, which Stereogum goes on to describe as “a catchy album, full of resin-sticky summertime metal. There’s not a bad song on the thing, and it surges from doom-y melancholy to sludge-y aggression, from psychedelia to rawk. It comes from a place not far from the ones that produced three of last year’s best metal albums, in fact: Baroness’s Yellow & Green, Torche’s Harmonicraft, and Pallbearer’sSorrow & Extinction,” will be streaming via Pitchfork Advance on May 21.

ASG’s next live date is a hometown record release show on May 24 at The Soapbox in Wilmington, N.C.  The band also recently announced a performance at Hopscotch Music Festival in September.  A full U.S. tour will be announced soon.

Loudwire recently streamed “Castlestorm,” describing the track as “everything a Southophile metalhead wants to hear in modern heavy music” (http://loudwire.com/asg-castlestorm-exclusive-song-premiere/).  The band previously shared “Avalanche” via a lyric video (http://youtu.be/oafRJH1F4Cs),which is also for sale via iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/avalanche-single/id630889558).

Blood Drive was recorded in the Fall of 2012 with producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Fu Manchu). Pre-order bundles for the CD/2xLP/Digital album are available now via Relapse (http://www.relapse.com/asg) with a deluxe digital version available via iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/blood-drive-deluxe-version/id616877399).
