Young Guns “Bones” To Be Official Theme Song for Wrestlemania 29
Los Angeles, CA (April 4, 2013) – “Bones,” the No. 1 hit single from UK rock band Young Guns, has been selected as one of the Official Theme Songs for WWE’s “WrestleMania 29,” which takes place Sunday, April 7 live on pay-per-view at 7 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
It’s the latest in a long line of achievements for the British quintet (vocalist Gus Wood, guitarists Fraser Taylor and John Taylor, bassist Simon Mitchell and drummer Ben Jolliffe), who recently hit No. 1 on both the Active and Mainstream rock charts with “Bones.” In addition, the “Bones” video is closing in on the two million-views mark and Alternative Press lauded the group as “A Band You Need To Know.” They just completed a string of U.S. dates, played a half-dozen shows at SXSW and on April 12th, they’ll hit the road with Bullet For My Valentine and Halestorm as part of this year’s hardDrive Live Tour.
Over the course of the past few years, Young Guns has emerged as one of the UK’s most electrifying new bands, garnering radio play and UK chart success while playing to packed-house crowds all across Europe, including a main stage performance at the Reading Festival, where they tore up the stage as part of a lineup that included Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, Guns N’ Roses and Modest Mouse. iTunes spotlighted them in their “Best of 2012: Rock Albums” feature & XBox Music hailed them with “Who’s Next/Best of 2012” alongside Alabama Shakes, Elle Varner and Two Door Cinema Club. They also recently did a Daytrotter session, earned a Revolver Golden Gods nomination in the “Best New Talent” category, and just made their 2010 album, All Our Kings Are Dead, available digitally for the first time ever in the U.S. Don’t miss your chance to catch Young Guns live.
