(New York) Songs From Another Love, the debut EP from Tom Odell, winner of the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award, will be released in the United States on April 16th by RCA Records / In The Name Of featuring an exclusive U.S. track listing. In The Name Of  (ITNO) is the label founded by Lily Rose Cooper. Long Way DownOdell’s full-length debut album, will follow later this year in the U.S.

The 22-year-old U.K. artist recently completed his first-ever North American run and will return for another series of dates this spring. The tour kicks off on April 29 in Cambridge, MA at The Sinclair and includes shows at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom (May 2) and the legendary Troubadour (May 7) in West Hollywood, CA. Tickets for all shows will go on sale this Friday, March 8. See below for itinerary.

KCRW, an early champion of Odell, has tapped him for its SXSW evening showcase at Haven on March 13. He’ll also perform at Spotify House and Hotel San Jose/Jo’s on South Congress on March 14.

London’s Sunday Times called “Another Love,” Odell’s first single, “genuinely chilling” and praised the “gothic atmospherics, febrile melodramatics and sense of imminent collapse” of  “Can’t Pretend,” another track that appears on the EP. NME predicted: “you’ll be hooked by the arresting energy of his voice.”

You can watch Odell’s video for “Another Love,” which already has more than two million views, at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwpMEbgC7DA

Odell is the first male ever to win the prestigious Critics’ Choice award. Past recipients include Adele, Florence and the Machine and Emeli Sandé. He was shortlisted in the BBC Sound Poll of 2013. Odell studied piano as a child and began writing his own songs at age 13. While he grew up in the West Sussex city of Chichester, his work is deeply influenced by American authors and filmmakers such as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jack Kerouac, Woody Allen and Wes Anderson.
