Athens, Georgia rockers Lullwater are set to release their self-titled album this Spring. The album was recorded in Seattle, Washington at the historic London Bridge Studios – birthplace of Pearl Jam’s Ten and Soundgarden’sLouder Than Love, with producer Jonathan Plum (Alice in Chains, Blind Melon, Pearl Jam). It encompasses the hypnotic, heavy melodies of the Pacific Northwest with a healthy dose of bluesy Southern swagger. The quartet, John Strickland (lead vocal, rhythm guitar) Brett Strickland (lead guitar), Joe Wilson (drums), and Roy “Ray” Beatty (bass) have released two tracks in advance of their upcoming Spring tour…

“Tug of War” (via ARTISTdirect): “A roaring riff, thunderous grooves, and arena-size vocals punctuate their new single “Tug of War”. The song oscillates from staggering Sabbath-ian distortion into a hypnotic hook. Lullwater ebb and flow with the perfect temperance of heavenly groove and hearty rhythm. “

“Blind” – Stream/embed the second single from the band’s forthcoming self-titled LP via Soundcloud.
