(New York, NY – February 4th, 2013) – This past Saturday, Grammy-nominated producer/DJ Eric Prydz returned to the hallowed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix decks in the U.K., taking control of the airwaves for two hours of forward-thinking electronic music. This marked Prydz’ return to the Essential Mix show for the first time since late 2011, when it was recorded live from his set at Creamfields.  Listen to the set here.

This extensive mix showcases Prydz’ ample talents as both a producer and a DJ,  as he draws from a wealth of upfront and exclusive Pryda material as well as a selection of cuts from Not ManiTonja HolmaMagnus FroblomCory Lasser and Arpoto take the listener on a fluid sonic journey.

Additionally, Eric is excited to announce brand new U.S. tour dates in February and March, performances at Ultra Music Festival and Coachella, as well as an exclusive Las Vegas dual residency at Surrender (February 9th) and XS (March 8th) entitled “Black Dice.”  As explained by Prydz to MTV News “Vegas has always been known for that glamour and gold. I think [with] the concept of Black Dice… we want to change things around a bit. Darken things up. You know. Strip things down.” View the Vegas trailer here.

These highly-anticipated dates are a follow  up to an amazing round of shows in 2012 including headlining the touring IDENTITY festival, and 2 nights SOLD OUT at Roseland NYC which Dancing Astronaut proclaimed as “among the best we’ve seen in all of 2012, and potentially ever at the legendary ballroom.”  Also proclaimed by Dancing Astronaut as not only the #1 Artist of the Year but also #1 Album of the Year; Voted #2 best EDM album of the year by VIBE and is currently #3 on the Billboard Club Chart.

Eric is also continuing to broadcast his EPIC Radio podcasts on iTunes, one hour of electronic music selected by Eric himself every month where he takes the listeners on a journey into his musical world.

Earlier in 2012, Eric released Eric Prydz presents Pryda, a collection of key productions under his Pryda guise.  Receiving critical acclaim, it showed that despite his past mainstream glories, Eric’s longevity and success is derived from his deep connection with the underground.  Eric Prydz isn’t concerned with the flamboyant showmanship of some of his peers.  The unassuming perfectionist puts the crowd and their musical experience above himself every time.  His releases and forward thinking live shows have allowed him to achieve worldwide recognition. With Eric it’s simply about music.
