WALK THE MOON TO RELEASE ‘TIGHTROPE’ EP ON 1/22

(Los Angeles – CA) – WALK THE MOON announced today they will release TIGHTROPE, a 6 song EP digitally through all service providers on January 22^nd. Featuring their current single “Tightrope” as well as three new recordings, 1 cover and a beloved B side, TIGHTROPE was recorded amidst the bands very successful end of 2012 touring schedule.

Beginning January 18^th, WALK THE MOON, will set out on their own US nationwide headlining tour with many venues already sold out. Tickets are available now at www.walkthemoonband.com.

In late 2012 WALK THE MOON premiered the video for “Tightrope” the second single off their self titled RCA Records debut album across VEVO. The video for “Tightrope” will also premiered across various MTV Networks properties including MTV Hits, mtvU, 120 Minutes and MTV.com.

“Tightrope”, which is featured in HP’s new Envy4 commercial, is currently climbing the charts at modern rock radio, following up their first single “Anna Sun” which hit Top 10 at modern rock and Top 5 at AAA radio and was the # 1 most requested song of the year at WBRU and the  # 4 most requested song on the Top 18 of 2012 SiriusXM Alt/Nation.

Additionally, WALK THE MOON are currently VH1’s “You Oughta Know” artists.

WALK THE MOON’s explosive first single, “Anna Sun”  spent 4 weeks at #1 on Sirius/XM’s Alt Nation’s Countdown and was voted as Seventeen Magazine’s and MTV Buzzworthy’s song of the summer.  The music video for “Anna Sun” nearly 6 million views and is continuing to grow. “Anna Sun” was also  featured on the latest HBO GO Campaign which began last summer.

The band was also featured as MTV’s Push Artist in June and has been VEVO’s LIFT emerging artist, where fans were able to get to know the band through exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, video premieres and intimate live concerts.

Launched in Ohio in 2008 by lead singer, songwriter and keyboard player Nicholas Petricca, WALK THE MOON includes Kevin Ray (bass, vocals), Eli Maiman (guitar, vocals) and Sean Waugaman (drums, vocals).
