The Summer Set announces spring headline tour
Scottsdale, AZ rockers The Summer Set are delighted to headline their first North American tour of 2013 with support from We Are The In Crowd, Go Radio, For The Foxes, and a special guest to be announced. The Altpress.com Presents “Wake Up & Be Awesome Tour” will kick off the 30 date routing in Mesa, AZ on February 21st.
“I’m thrilled to announce that we’re going on tour with some of our favorite friends We Are The In Crowd, Go Radio, For The Foxes, and a special guest,” explains lead singer Brian Dales. “It’s the last tour on our ‘Everything’s Fine’ cycle, so we’ll be playing our longest set ever, including songs we’ve never played before from both, “Love Like This” and “Everything’s Fine,” as well as some brand new songs from our forthcoming record. Don’t miss out on this, it’s gonna be our coolest show yet!”
Tipped by Alternative Press as one of the Most Anticipated Albums of 2013, the pop-rock quintet will be touring in support of their forthcoming third album, set to release with Fearless Records this spring. The band has recently released new song “Fuck U Over”, available now on iTunes.
The Summer Set have recently announced that they will be part of the Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds on May 28th, and have recently wrapped up a North American trek with All Time Low. No strangers to the stage, The Summer Set have toured with the likes of Plain White T’s, Mayday Parade, Yellowcard, Never Shout Never, We The Kings, The Cab, Hit The Lights, and Cartel.
THE SUMMER SET – Composed of Brian Dales (Vocals), John Gomez (Guitar, Piano, Back up vocals), Josh Montgomery (Guitar), Stephen Gomez (Bass), and Jess Bowen (Drums), the Scottsdale, AZ pop rock ensemble have quickly become a phenomenon throughout the independent music scene. Formed by brothers John and Stephen Gomez, and Jess Bowen as teenagers, the band released their first full-length Love Like This (Razor & Tie) in 2009, and sophomore album Everything’s Fine (Razor & Tie) in 2011. The Summer Set have honed their irresistible brand of rosy pop punk through major television syncs on “Dancing With The Stars”, MTV’s “Jersey Shore”, “10 on Top”, and “Hard Times of RJ Berger.” The band is currently in the studio working on a new album, expected in early 2013 on Fearless Records.
