Mayday Parade enters studio to record new album, slated for fall 2013 release via Fearless Records
Mayday Parade is excited to announce plans to head into the studio to record album number four, slated for a fall 2013 release with Fearless Records, which was premiered by MTV Buzzworthy earlier today.
“The band will start writing for our new record this month and will be releasing it later this year with Fearless Records. Fearless has always been family to us and we’re really happy to have that again. Exciting times!” – Jake Bundrick
ABOUT MAYDAY PARADE: For the past seven years, the members of Tallahassee, Florida’s Mayday Parade – Derek Sanders (Vocalist), Jeremy Lenzo (Bassist), Alex Garcia (Guitarist), Brooks Betts (Guitarist), and Jake Bundrick (Drummer) – have been perfecting their unique brand of pop-infected punk rock, a process that has garnered fans globally since their formation in 2005.
Debuting at #8 on the Billboard Heatseeker’s Chart with a chart position for 70 consecutive weeks, the band’s debut full-length A Lesson In Romantics (2007) set the path for Mayday’s success-to-come. Selling over 600,000 albums and 3,000,000 tracks worldwide, the band’s extensive discography also includes the release of Anywhere But Here (2009), followed by their self-titled album (2011), which debuted at #12 on the Billboard Top 200. The band has made appearances on numerous installations of the Punk Goes… series, including Punk Goes Acoustic 2, Punk Goes Pop Volume 2 & 3, with their most recent stunning rendition of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” featured on Punk Goes Pop Volume 5.
The power-pop ensemble have recently announced North American tour dates alongside Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, & You Me At Six, to kick off on April 11th. The band has shared the stage with such acts like Plain White T’s, The Maine, We The Kings, We Are The In Crowd, Set Your Goals, and performed on both the Alternative Press and Vans Warped tours.
