KIDZ BOP & RCA RECORDS ANNOUNCE GRAND PRIZE WINNER IN ITS ANNUAL KIDZ STAR USA TALENT SEARCH – DALLAS WAYDE

NEW YORK, NY (January 30, 2013) — KIDZ BOP, the #1 kids’ music brand in the U.S., announced today that 15-year-old Dallas Wayde is the Grand Prize Winner of its annual KIDZ Star USA Talent Search–America’s biggest national talent competition for kids ages 15 and under. As part of the grand prize, the Dallas, TX native won a recording contract from RCA Records. The KIDZ Star USA Grand Finale event showcasing Dallas’s big win premieres across VEVO today, the world’s leading all premium music video and entertainment platform. Multi-Platinum selling recording artist, Gavin DeGraw, mentored this year’s contests and Nickelodeon star, Ashley Argota, hosted the series. Nearly 50,000 kids from across the country entered the competition by uploading a :90 second performance video to KIDZBOP.com, the leading safe social network and video sharing site for kids and tweens. KIDZ BOP teamed up with Ben Silverman’s multimedia studio Electus (Fashion Star) to produce the KIDZ Star USA webisodes. The series followed the Top 8 KIDZ Star USA finalists to Hollywood as they faced off in a series of musical challenges to win a RCA Records recording contract.
