Los Angeles, CA – January 17, 2013 – Los Angeles based quartet Harriet today announced that they will headline a free March residency at The Echo in Los Angeles, CA. The band will perform for four consecutive Mondays (March 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th). On February 27th the band will return to San Francisco to play at Brick & Mortar Music Hall as part of the Noise Pop Festival.

This week the band also successfully funded the recording of their much-anticipated forthcoming debut full-length album via Kickstarter – raising over $12,000 and doubling their initial funding goal. Check out their Kickstarter video HERE.

The yet to be titled album is the follow up to the band’s acclaimed debut EP Tell The Right Story, which was self-released in January 2012 and praised by everyone from NPR Music to MTV Buzzworthy. The EP also featured the much buzzed about blog breakout track “I Slept With All Your Mothers”. The new album was recorded in Sacramento, CA at the Hangar Studios and will be produced by Sean O’Brien.

“Harriet blends Americana and electronic music to create a sound that embodies the L.A. rock scene: Its debut EP, Tell the Right Story, sounds like a chillwave re-imagination of Kings of Leon or The National. The group combines hoarse vocals, dramatic riffs and electronic flourishes on its debut.” – NPR Music

“The five-song effort, Tell The Right Story, is notably cinematic in nature with pointedly dramatic lyrics and melodies. “I Slept With All Your Mothers” is an aching indie rock number, as heavy in parts as it is forlorn.” – RCRD LBL

“Harriet’s debut EP showcases some truly unforgettable tales from Casnoff. Nodding to Wilco with the right touch of Queens of The Stone Age style grit, Harriet eloquently transform alternative rock.   …The the best story the indie world has produced in a long time…” – ARTISTdirect
