DAVID GUETTA WINS BEST ELECTRONIC ACT AT THE 2012 MTV EUROPEAN MUSIC AWARDS

(New York, NY – Nov. 12^th, 2012) The DJ with the golden touch, David Guetta, continues his stellar year by winning Best Electronic Act at the prestigious MTV European Music Awards held in Frankfurt on November 11^th.

On winning the award David said “I just heard that I won an EMA for Best Electronic act.  I want to say thank you SO much! I’m really happy!  I wish I could be there, but I’m here touring South America, which is also a lot of fun. Special thanks to all the fans that voted for me – love you.”

David has also been nominated for Best Electronic Act at the American Music Awards, airing live this Sunday, November 18^th on ABC.

In September, Guetta released a definitive version of his hit album Nothing But The Beat.  The new version, Nothing But The Beat 2.0 features all the hits from the original album plus new songs “She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)” feat. Sia, “Play Hard” feat. Ne-Yo and Akon, “Wild One 2” produced with Nicky Romero and feat. Sia, “Just One Last Time” feat. Taped Rai, “In My Head” produced with Daddy’s Groove and feat. Tegan & Sara. NBTB 2.0 also features 3 of the album’s original futuristic, underground electronic tracks made for the clubs and dance music enthusiasts plus brand-new track “What The F***” which is sure to delight even the most hardcore clubber’s palate and  “Metropolis”  which Guetta produced with Nicky Romero and was the first release through his recently launched dance label Jack Back Records. ‘Nothing But The Beat’ has sold over 3 million albums  (Platinum in 17 countries) and an astonishing  18 million singles world-wide since its release last August, 2011.

David Guetta spent the summer playing his weekly residencies at Ibiza’s hottest  clubs,  Ushuaia  and Pacha, in addition to major European club and festival gigs including headline slots at V Festival, Creamfields and the iTunes festival. Guetta went on to a sold out tour of South East Asia and is currently performing dates in South America; back to Brazil where he last played to 3 Million people on NYE at Copacabana Beach  in Rio De Janeiro.
