WALK THE MOON TO PREMIERE VIDEO FOR “TIGHTROPE” ACROSS VEVO AND MTV PROPERTIES ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5TH
(New York, New York) – WALK THE MOON will premiere the video for “Tightrope” the second single off their self titled RCA Records debut album across VEVO on Friday, October 5th. The video for “Tightrope” will also premiere across various MTV Networks properties including MTV Hits, mtvU, 120 Minutes and MTV.com.
“Tightrope”, which is featured in HP’s new Envy4 commercial, is currently climbing the charts at modern rock radio, following up their explosive first single “Anna Sun” which hit Top 10 at modern rock and Top 5 at AAA radio while continuing to rise at both Pop and Hot AC as well. Additionally, WALK THE MOON are currently VH1’s “You Oughta Know” artists.
The video for Tightrope, which was shot in Los Angeles in September, was directed by Ari Costa.
WALK THE MOON are currently in Europe sharing the stage with fun. and will be back in the US in November for their first major headlining tour which will continue with a second leg at the top of 2013. WALK THE MOON’s explosive first single, “Anna Sun” spent 4 weeks at #1 on Sirius/XM’s Alt Nation’s Countdown and was voted as Seventeen Magazine’s and MTV Buzzworthy’s song of the summer. The music video for “Anna Sun” has over 4 million views and is continuing to grow. “Anna Sun” is currently featured on the latest HBO GO Campaign which began earlier this summer.
The band was also featured as MTV’s Push Artist in June and has been VEVO’s LIFT emerging artist, where fans were able to get to know the band through exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, video premieres and intimate live concerts.
Launched in Ohio in 2008 by lead singer, songwriter and keyboard player Nicholas Petricca, WALK THE MOON includes Kevin Ray (bass, vocals), Eli Maiman (guitar, vocals) and Sean Waugaman (drums, vocals).
