The showbiz juggernaut that is Tripod thundered on in 2011, with the boys continuing to tour their epic musical Tripod versus the Dragon locally and internationally, and releasing the feature-packed DVD of that show through Beyond Entertainment. The boys also appeared on the “in memoriam” segment of the 2011 Logie broadcast, with a beautiful rendition of Paul Kelly’s Meet Me in the Middle of the Air alongside Eddie Perfect. In 2013 the boys and Eddie will be premiering a full-length show of classic Australian songs, the name of which they haven’t agreed on yet.

In early 2012, Tripod premiered their new live show Men of Substance at the Victorian Arts Centre, and have since toured it all over the nation, including to the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Perth International Comedy Festival, Brisbane Comedy Festival and Darwin Festival. 2012 also sees the boys embark on recording their next studio album, which will be produced by John Castle (Washington, the Bamboos), before heading into songwriting and rehearsals for a piece with the Malthouse Theatre in early 2013.

Megan Washington is a 2-time ARIA Award winner, Platinum album seller, an APRA Breakthrough Songwriter, the inaugural Vanda & Young Songwriter of The Year and recipient of numerous other industry accolades. The full depth and breadth of Washington’s talent however was best signified in the release of the critically acclaimed Insomnia EP and associated live show. Where most artists would have pursued obvious commercial routes, Insomnia presented a darker, more intimate side to Megan’s writing. Comfortable as a mentor on The Voice, as she is performing songs from ‘Insomnia’ with a members of the ACO – Washington is the real deal.

Join Australian icon John Williamson for a special concert performance showcasing new songs from his recently released album The Big Red as well as the hits and unofficial anthems that he is celebrated for. His tributes to legends and unsung heroes and tender ballads have captured the spirit of the nation in song unlike any other. Add to this his ability to deliver unforgettable live concert experiences that combine the perfect blend of humour, romance and campfire stories woven together by his music, and you can understand why he is one of the most in-demand live performers in Australia. John Williamson is frequently referred to as an Australian icon and has become synonymous with his iconic song True Blue.

Along his journey he has been inducted into the prestigious ARIA Hall of Fame, secured three ARIA Awards, 24 Golden Guitars, MO Awards, APRA Awards, Platinum and Gold albums and over 4 million album sales to name just some of the recognition he has earned. It all started when he penned that classic Old Man Emu back in 1970. From this ‘silly’ song (as he often refers to it) that went to #1 for five weeks, he has continued to create hits including True Blue, Cootamundra Wattle, Rip Rip Woodchip, Raining On The Rock, Winter Green, Salisbury Street, Galleries Of Pink Galahs and Hawkesbury River Lovin’ to name but a few of the 400+ songs written by the multi-award winning songwriter.

Glenn Shorrock is best known as the original voice of the Little River Band, who still enthralls audiences around the world with his extensive repertoire and international hits. Wendy Matthews has an enviable reputation as an artist par excellence with her sublime, expressive voice that always moves those who hear it. Doug Parkinson has been regarded as one of Australia’s finest vocalists, a “singer’s singer” who is one of the truly great soul/RnB vocalists of our time. Reminiscing will feature all of the biggest hits from the individual artists, duets and outstanding ensemble performances.

Together these three music icons invite you on a magical musical journey reliving their collective catalogue of hits. Glenn Shorrock’s Help Is On Its Way, Reminiscing, Cool Change, A Little Ray Of Sunshine; Doug Parkinson’s Dear Prudence and I’ll Be Around; Wendy Matthews’ I Don’t Want To Be With Nobody But You, The Day You Went Away, Let’s Kiss and Token Angels are but a few examples of what the night will bear.

But it’s not just the songs; the evening will also be full of history and anecdotes. There will be lots of musical surprises, laughter and emotion. When these three Aussie music icons, who set the standard for today’s singers, come together for a live concert, audiences know they are in for a memorable night of music.
