Here’s what critics are saying….

“It’s a ferocious, life-affirming offering, one of those albums that doesn’t need “thrash,” “core,” “punk and,” or “death” affixed to it….these guys just make vital, amped-up Heavy Metal.” – Pitchfork.com

“This is the kind of metal band that ignores multi-prefix genre tags, rips a terse guitar solo that deconstructs itself like “Paranoid Android” on an all-night bender, and then finds its steel-toed boot in someone’s face.” – NPR.org

“ A brutal, crusty hardcore record that tips it hat to everything from grind to black metal to Slayer” – BrooklynVegan.com

“At heart Early Graves still sound like a D-beat-starved His Hero Is Gone sword-fighting with math rock, ultimately failing the math part before burning the whole fucking mess to the ground.” – Alternative Press

“Red Horse is itself a whirlwind of a record, an 8-track / 38-minute grind n’ roll bulldozer that’ll leave you flattened mere minutes in. It’s everything you want it to be, at once dirty, fast, raw and angry without ever succumbing to cliche.” – MetalSucks.net

“a ferocious, angry, incredibly powerful and unexpectedly positive album that’s as devastating as it is life-affirming.” – About.com

“Unrelenting, heavy-hitting, and mean, Red Horse is truly a force to be reckoned with” – HearEvil.com

Red Horse marks the band’s first album since the tragic loss of their founding singer Makh Daniels who died in an automobile accident while the band was on tour in 2010.  Two years later they return, carrying the torch for their fallen brother with long-time friend of the band John Strachan, of the Funeral Pyre, stepping in permanently for Makh on vocals.

Early Graves are currently touring the U.S. in support of Red Horse.
