Matty T Wall releases new single – Launch show incoming!
New song. New show. New album.
Great news for the many fans of West Australian blues-rock artist Matty T Wall with the announcement of a brand new song Tornado Of Love – out on all platforms today – and a new studio album Dust & Dynamite coming in early 2027.
The cherry on top for West Australian fans is the news of a huge live show to launch the single – Matty’s first gig of 2026. Details and ticket link for that below.
Tornado Of Love leaps out of the starting blocks– fast, funky and seriously hot – just like you knew it would be.
As a first single – it punches a mighty wallop, helped along by deliciously appropriate horns from Nashville’s The Smoking Section and Matty’s superb rhythm section of Leigh Miller (bass) and Ric Whittle (drums).
Deliciously appropriate?
Well, Tornado Of Love is all about the horn, after all. It is playfully lusty in a way only the blues can be.
“It’s real, real punchy,” explains Matty. “Right out of the gate, it’s obviously a very lustful topic.”
He continues “It’s the oldest topic that there is, and it’s all about that – about the high energy, go for it attitude with that experience. So it’s out there, and the lyrics are there for all to see.”
‘Looking forward to our little rendezvous,
Hearts beating wild just focused in on you
Fire in the eyes baby, fire down below
We’re gonna get in trouble babe, gonna stop the show’
Tornado Of Love offers a tantalising taster for what to expect from Wall’s new album Dust & Dynamite – slated for release in March of 2027, his first studio release since 2019’s highly acclaimed Transpacific Blues. Presales for the new album will be available soon
In the meantime, if you are lucky enough to be able to get to Fremantle this December, strap your boots on and grab your tickets to the Tornado Of Love single launch.
