Celebrating 25 Years of In Our Gun plus all the Gomez favourites

It’s been 25 years? Really?? Oh yes, it has.

The year is 2002 and GOMEZ are riding high. Mercury Music Prize winners, international touring superstars, and a HUGE act in Australia. Touring their third album In Our Gun at the time, they played sold-out shows at Festival Hall in Melbourne and Brisbane and Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, before returning later for a co-headline appearance at Splendour In The Grass.

In 2027 – a quarter of a century later – Ben Ottewell & Ian Ball continue to bring that Gomez spirit to stages across Australia and New Zealand with their annual dose of good times, great songs and stories from one of the UK’s most beloved bands, celebrating 25 years of Gomez’s excellent and highly acclaimed third album, In Our Gun.

Expect a deep diving set covering all the good stuff from Shot Shot, Detroit Swing 66, Ruff Stuff and Ping One Down, alongside undeniable Gomez classics including Whippin’ Piccadilly, Get Myself Arrested and plenty more.

It’s the kind of show that feels like catching up with old friends – except those friends happen to have written some of the great songs of the last 25 years.

For Love Police, the return is particularly special.

BT at Love Police says, “We first toured Gomez in 2000. For a solid 13 years they visited here every couple of years until the band went on a kind of hiatus. But then the solo tours for Ben, and then Ian, and then Ben and Ian together began. They have seemingly never left us. We have all gone through a lot together. Australia really is their second home, and it’s always a treat to see the joy on people’s faces singing along to the hits they know and love for over 26 years now. Great to have these two back for our 30th year celebrations. It may never stop!”

With Love Police celebrating 30 years in 2027, there could be no better time to welcome two old friends back for another round.
