YOMI SHIP ANNOUNCE NATIONAL TOUR AHEAD OF SECOND ALBUM RELEASE
Perth progressive math rock outfit heads east in October, following the release of their sophomore album “Baku,” out 18 September.
Yomi Ship have announced a four-date national tour this October, launching in hometown Perth, then Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The tour follows the release of “Devil Djinn,” the lead single from the band’s second album, “Baku,” due out 18 September 2026.
A decade into their career, the Perth trio have built a reputation for dense, unconventional progressive math rock that rewards close listening. “Baku” marks their most ambitious work to date, and this run of shows will be the first chance for local fans and audiences on the east coast to hear the new material live.
“We are ecstatic to embark on our debut headline tour to perform the different pieces of the amalgamation that is ’Baku‘ in a live setting for the first time! We have an amazing team working alongside us helping to reach this point and we’ve managed to procure some incredible acts to help support us on our voyage. Some bands we’ve performed with before on our previous ventures and some are new friends we look forward to meeting. This tour marks our fifth journey to the east coast and we can’t wait to reconnect with fans we’ve met along the way” – Nick Osborne
TOUR DATES

They are no doubt one of the best and most original bands in recent memory; and like a single voice combined. Enthralling.
Couldn’t agree more, Phil. It’s pretty rare to fins any act that has much of a spark of originality nowadays, but these guys are in a world of their own! Can’t wait for the new album.
