Where do I even start. On this night, I finally got to cross one of the bucket list—seeing Lorna Shore live. I haven’t been a fan for that long, and honestly, I’ll admit it: I got pulled in the same way a lot of people did—through “To the Hellfire” when it went viral in 2021. That track didn’t just introduce the band—it introduced Will Ramos to the world, and from the first I saw that music video, I knew I had to experience this live. That moment didn’t just hook me on Lorna Shore—it lit the fuse for my love of deathcore. Lorna Shore is currently tearing through North America on their headlining tour supporting I Feel the Everblack Festering Within Me, and they didn’t come alone—they brought chaos with them. Kicking off the night were Signs of the Swarm, and they didn’t ease anyone in—they detonated the room. From the first note, it was full throttle, no brakes, just relentless energy. The tone for the night was set instantly. Then came Paleface Swiss, and I’ll be honest—I hadn’t really listened to them before. Yeah, I know… a bit embarrassing. But that changed fast. They hit the stage like a wrecking ball—aggressive, raw, and completely unforgiving. By the end of their set, they didn’t just win me over—they probably converted anyone that wasn’t a fan previously.
And then…the moment. The lights dropped. The stage came alive with LED panels—one massive wall stretching across the entire back, flanked by side panels, with additional screens framing the drum riser. It felt less like a concert setup and more like stepping into something cinematic. With a 12-song set ahead, Lorna Shore opened with Oblivion, and from there, it was a full-on descent. A huge portion of the set pulled from Everblack, with tracks like Glenwood bringing emotional weight, diving into Will’s personal struggles and reconciliation, while songs like Prison of Flesh delivered sheer brutality—riffs that didn’t just hit, they crushed. They also tore through In Darkness, Unbreakable, and War Machine, keeping the intensity pinned the entire time. From Pain remains, we got fan favourites like Cursed to Die and Sun//Eater—one of the personal highlights of the night. And then… the trilogy. Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames, Pain Remains II: After All I’ve Done, I’ll Disappear, Pain Remains III: In a Sea of fire. It wasn’t just a performance—it was an experience. Emotional, massive, and honestly, pretty surreal to witness live. Just when you think it’s over, they come back for the encore—To the Hellfire. And there’s really no better way they could have ended it.
Lets talk about the sound and performance for a moment, Will Ramos’ vocals were absolutely unreal. His vocals were inhuman. The range, the control, the sheer violence in his delivery—it sounded just as insane live as it does on record, maybe even more. Every guttural, every shriek, every demon call hit with precision. Adam De Micco’s guitars were technical, tight and crushingly heavy—the architect of chaos, cutting through the crowd with controlled destruction. Andrew O’Conner brings the depth and atmosphere. While Adam drives the brutality, Andrew fills the space with those eerie, melodic textures that give Lorna Shore that signature cinematic feel. They were locked in. Michael Yager was felt through out the theatre in every bone, giving the performance the weight. And last but not least Austin Archey is an absolute beast on the drums. Blast beats for days, double kicks and tempo shifts that were just relentless. Watching him live is like watching controlled chaos unfold. The precision at the speed is honestly insane. By the end of the night, it didn’t just feel like I had checked off the bucket list band—it felt like I had experienced something bigger. Lorna Shore doesn’t just play a show—they create an atmosphere, a story, a full-on sonic assault that sticks with you long after the lights come back on. And yeah… I’d see them again in a heartbeat. If you can catch them on tour or have the chance to see them live, please don’t hesitate go to the show its an unreal experience.
