TWELVE PARSECS ANNOUNCE ALL-AGES FUNDRAISER FOR CANCER RESEARCH
TWELVE PARSECS ANNOUNCE ALL-AGES FUNDRAISER FOR CANCER RESEARCH

A powerful night of music, community and purpose is set to take over Leederville this April, as young people lead the charge in raising vital funds for women’s cancer research.
Pink Noise is an all-ages fundraising gig, presented through a collaboration between the Y WA’s Youth Squad and emerging local band Twelve Parsecs. The event will showcase an exciting lineup of young talent, including Twelve Parsecs, RetroMode, Broken Pedal and First Offence.
Taking place at The Y HQ in Leederville on Friday 17 April from 6pm to 10pm, the event invites the community to come together for an unforgettable night supporting a deeply meaningful cause.
The idea for Pink Noise was sparked by a personal experience for members of Twelve Parsecs.
“After watching our mum go through breast cancer last year, it really highlighted how important cancer research is for so many families,” said Twelve Parsecs drummer Georgia Spowart.
“We wanted to turn our experience into something positive. Music is what we know, so Pink Noise felt like the most natural way to bring people together and make a difference for others.”
“This night is about supporting the women in all of our lives – our mums, sisters, aunts and friends who are living with or have faced cancer – and doing something that can genuinely help. It’s been incredible to see every band get behind the cause and come together like this.”

In addition to live performances, attendees can look forward to a fundraising raffle supported by generous local businesses including Zero Latency, Holey Moley, Sound One, Cockburn Ice Arena and Yo-Chi, along with merchandise donated by the performing bands. Multiple prizes and bonus giveaways will be drawn throughout the night.
Youth Squad member Izzy said the event is about more than just music – “It’s about young people stepping up to make a difference. Bring your friends, bring your family and come make some noise for a really important cause. It’s going to be an epic night!”
