2025 release ‘Never Enough’ brought this band into Grammy nomination territory, and boldly supported by The Chain and Basement for the final show on this Australian Tour in Perth, Turnstile proved they can craft an engaging escape from reality.

In case no one has said it lately, Perth is a remarkable sight, and that extends to the fans who packed out Red Hill last night for Turnstile’s all-ages show. From the opening moments the thoughtfully curated setlist established an energetic and infectious atmosphere that never wavered. Each song built seamlessly upon the last, ensuring the crowd was fully engaged from start to finish.

The production elevated the performance to another level. Striking backdrop visuals paired flawlessly with dynamic lighting, enhancing the band’s intensity and precision. Live cameras captured the crowd’s unfiltered energy, projecting moments of audience participation onto the stage backdrop, an inspired touch that further blurred the line between band and fans. The result was a truly immersive experience that carried the audience on a relentless ride.

Front and centre, the circle pit was in constant motion, a testament to the crowd’s enthusiasm and stamina. Every track was met with full audience participation, and over the course of nearly 90 minutes, Turnstile united and energised Perth’s eager fanbase. Frontman Brendan Yates proved himself a commanding showman, leading by example with vivid presence, boundless energy, and genuine connection.

The show flowed effortlessly, punctuated by several standout moments. “TLC” turned the energy on its head early in the set, and while “7” offered a brief breather, momentum quickly surged once again. For the finale, “BIRDS” delivered an unforgettable climax, as fans were invited onto the stage to join the band, creating a powerful and communal ending.

Turnstile’s return to Perth cannot come soon enough. If last night was any indication, this city, and its fans, are more than worth the visit.
