Ending the highly anticipated final show of their almost completely sold-out tour, All Them Witches hit the stage with swagger and purpose, knowing that they were going to give the packed house exactly what they wanted and then some. All Them Witches, based out of Nashville, TN, have always sold out and had very ecstatic crowds. This was the first time I was fortunate to have been able to catch them perform live. Every other time, tickets have gone too fast for me to act with expediency and snag. So being able to cover their final night of this tour was an amazing opportunity to catch one of my favorite bands performing live, as well as giving back with imagery. The lighting was moody and fit the vibe of the performance. Filled with lots of long breakdowns and jam moments, ATW proved that they are masters of their craft. They started the evening off with a banger of “See You Next Fall,” “Saturine & Iron Jaw,” and a new track, “Culling Line,” before jumping full force into various numbers from all of their previous albums well as my favorite song of theirs, “Charles William.” When they got ready to play “The Children of Coyote Woman,” all members but Charles Michael Parks Jr. and Allan Van Cleave departed the stage, and they performed a stripped-down version which was simply amazing.  A few covers were performed, notably the traditional “Red Rocking Chair” before ending the main evening with “Alabaster.” After a short time, ATW came back onto stage to high applause and excitement to close the evening out with a short encore set of “Elk.Blood.Heart” and “The Death of Coyote Woman.”

For me personally, this show was a perfect way for me to close out my year of assignments, as well as the fact that it was the evening before my birthday, so early birthday presents were secured with some pretty amazing merch and a tour poster. This show had all of those stoner rock/blues elements to ensure that the full evening was one chill atmosphere and experience for all in attendance. Leaving at the end of the night, I didn’t hear a single negative comment but a lot of “I can’t wait for the next show.” Which is amazing for both the band and the fans, because I, for one, cannot wait for the next show as well. If you are looking for a night out with a very laid-back atmosphere with lots of mood and energy, definitely be on the lookout for the next All Them Witches tour announcements and grab a ticket.
