An absolute treasure trove of late 70’s Conan history, this epic volume should come with one simple warning: Reading in bed may lead to black eyes, so hefty is this 2.5 kg tome!
It is a recreation of the Marvel comic books #29 to #44, which were originally published from May 1978 to September 1979, and it is completely faithful in their reproductions, right down to the original fan letters pages, contents and essays.
As expected, the artwork is simply stunning, the stories are mostly adapted from original Conan creator Robert E Howard and the man who took up the mantle of Conan in more modern times, L Sprague de Camp, and are filled to overflowing with epic battles, evil sorcery, busty women and rippling muscles, not to mention a wonderfully escapist sense of adventure.
Highly recommended.
