Underoath’s long-awaited They’re Only Chasing Safety 20th Anniversary tour hit St. Petersburg’s Jannus Live on December 15, 2024, marking a milestone for one of post-hardcore’s most influential bands. The show was part of a four-date run at Jannus, with UK-based band Static Dress opening the night with their own high-energy set.
Underoath is known for their emotionally charged live performances, and this night was no exception. The band wasted no time diving into the heart of their anniversary celebration, performing They’re Only Chasing Safety in its entirety. The setlist took fans on a nostalgic journey through the record that helped define early 2000s post-hardcore. In addition to the album performance, they treated the crowd to a mix of fan-picked favorites, ensuring a dynamic setlist that spanned their entire discography.
The energy in St. Petersburg was electric, and for fans who had been with the band since the beginning, this show was an unforgettable experience.
