Osees made a last minute surprise show announcement for Nashville, TN and even with it being last minute that house was packed to the gills at almost sold out capacity. Everyone was there to see an amazing live performance. Their set was filled with tons of volume and energy. Within one song the crowd was already crowd surfing and surging to the sonic assault on stage. Every song they performed had several minutes of instrumental breaks and was just sheer amazing. This was the first time I was fortunate to catch an Osees show. I have been a fan for a few years by this point but I wasn’t ready for such a brilliant live performance. They played 20 tracks from their various catalog of 28 studio albums. So it was really lots of high energy and well timed pace of the show was perfect but time flew by too fast. I could have enjoyed another full set but the overall show was already packed with lots of high points and numbers. Their sound has influences from garage rock, surf, krautrock, and psychedelic. Combine all of that with two drummers and a very fluid flow between songs it was nonstop chaos. The stage setup and lighting were exceptionally on point with the mood and vibe of the evening. Sold out shows at Exit / In are always a blast to attend simply due to the smaller size. Everyone will leave drenched in sweat and love it. Osees are absolutely brilliant live and a very highly recommended show to see for any fans of raw energy and skill.
