LULIEPALOOZA MELBOURNE ANNOUNCES 2024 LINE-UP + INTERNATIONAL HEADLINER
LULIEPALOOZA MELBOURNE ANNOUNCES 2024 LINE-UP + INTERNATIONAL HEADLINER
MELBOURNE’S BIGGEST ROCK N ROLL STREET PARTY RETURNS!
Melbourne’s wildest rock ‘n’ roll street party LuliePalooza returns, crashing into Abbotsford on November 23, 2024. Following sold-out spectacles in previous years, this one-day music festival is back to serve up another raucous day of fun and frivolity for music lovers across Naarm. Proudly presented by ALWAYS LIVE and PBS FM.
Transforming Lulie Street and part of Victoria Park into a veritable open-air dive bar, this year’s event is set to outdo itself with an insane lineup of rock, punk, indie, psych, and country acts that will have you dancing all day and into the night.
Marking a proud milestone, the festival welcomes its first-ever international headliner, Starcrawler (USA). Channeling the spirit of LA legends X, the pop-punk sensibilities of The Go-Go’s, the raw power of The Distillers, and a bit of Rolling Stones sleaze, Starcrawler will play an exclusive Australian set at LuliePalooza 2024—your only shot to see lead singer Arrow De Wilde’s unpredictable and ferocious punk power – don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Naarm heavyweights Cash Savage & The Last Drinks will also drop by to gift us with their spectacular and mesmerising live show that simultaneously serves as a communal catharsis. Described by The Guardian as the “One of the most powerful bands in the country”, if you know, you know.
Coaxing some of the best Aussie bands out of the shadows, LuliePalooza is stoked to have everyone’s favourite bubblegum punks Gooch Palms back to slay another day, and sludge-lords Batpiss will even make a rare appearance! The much-adored Eagle & the Worm will return to the stage after a seven-year hiatus, and seven-piece metal outfit Battlesnake will rise from the depths of the underworld, to bring us those blistering guitar riffs and killer theatrics that have made them one of the most exciting live bands in the country.
You can also catch sets from celebrated storyteller Skyscraper Stan, The Miffs, Milly Strange, Hana & Jessie Lee’s Bad Habits, Platonic Sex and Jaded. Phew!
Once again, the crew from Fast Times Skateboarding will be doing skate demos throughout the day, while Lulie’s infamous House of Cheese DJs (Sissy and Zaza) keep things swingin’ between sets. And since it wouldn’t be LuliePalooza without him, Bronco the bucking bull will be in action for anyone wild enough to have a crack!
Bars will be fully stocked with the best range of bevs from Bodriggy, Liquid Death, Doom Juice, Los Arcos, Heaps Normal, Jameson (and more!), while Freddy’s Pizza and Lulie’s Burgers will be slinging food all day long.
Tickets are priced at $95 + BF, with heavily discounted tickets available for First Nations community members.
More than just a festival, LuliePalooza is an extension of Lulie Tavern’s enduring dedication to strengthening the bonds within Melbourne’s live music scene and community. Exclusive to Melbourne, this year’s event is part of ALWAYS LIVE, a statewide celebration of contemporary live music, supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria.
LuliePalooza has a habit of selling out, so grab your tickets early and join us for the ultimate rock ‘n’ roll block party. Visit lulietavern.com to snag your tickets now.
