Walking onto stage in a dayglo avant-funk style only fitting of the hippest grandmother’s knitted wears and quilted suit; MonoNeon immediately jumped into an hour and a half long jazz / funk set that was thoroughly enjoyable. I wasn’t too familiar with his music prior to this performance. A few tracks that I was familiar with were super fun live. “Hot Cheetos” and “Invisible” were what I was happy to hear played. Very catchy songs and persona on stage. All the members of the band were having a blast on stage and just seemed to be having a great time performing to the crowd.  Everyone in attendance was enthralled with the performance. There were a ton of people singing along with them while they played. The evening was an absolute fun filled event. It’s always a breath of fresh air when you see everyone in the band smiling and having an absolute joy doing what they love doing to an adoring crowd. Lots of positive vibes and energy and well timed pace of the show was perfect but time flew by too fast. I honestly could have enjoyed another full set but the overall show was already packed with lots of high points and numbers.
