On April 19th, Tampa Bay was rocked to its core as the annual 98Rockfest took over the Amalie Arena. From emerging talents to seasoned veterans, the festival showcased the diverse spectrum of rock music. Kicking off the evening was Ayron Jones, whose high-energy performance set the perfect tone for the night ahead. With infectious melodies and raw passion, Jones warmed up the crowd and paved the way for the rest of the lineup. Next up was Dayseeker, whose blend of emotive lyrics and powerful instrumentals captivated the audience. As the night progressed, the energy only intensified with the arrival of Asking Alexandria. The British metalcore band unleashed a torrent of aggression and adrenaline,  their electrifying stage presence proved why they remain a force to be reckoned with in the rock scene. Following was Seether, who brought a more melodic yet equally impactful performance to the stage. With their arsenal of radio hits and grunge-infused sound, the rockers delivered a set that struck a chord with fans both old and new. Finally, headlining the fest was none other than Staind. Hits like “It’s Been Awhile” and “Outside” elicited sing-alongs from every person in the venue solidifying Staind’s status as legends of the genre. Overall, 98Rockfest proved to be a night to remember for rock enthusiasts in Tampa Bay.
