Good tunes and great times are forecast for April and May this year. Groovin the Moo (GTM) is mere months away and it’s looking udderly mooorvellous. Whether you’re a first timer, or have multiple GTMs under your belt, you can expect good ol’ fashioned country hospitality and indulge in a stacked lineup from start to finish.

The 2024 lineup is packed full of something for everyone – from GTM alumni, to a tractor load of international guests and a sprinkle of your new favourites.

Familiar faces DMA’s, Hot Dub Time Machine, The Jungle Giants, Mallrat and San Cisco will return to GTM along with Alison Wonderland, playing in Australia for the first time in 5 years. Be sure to check out some of our fastest growing artists like Jacoténe, The Grogans and Nerve & Friends.

Joining us from afar are music royalty GZA from Wu-Tang (USA) and Sporty Spice herself Melanie C (UK). “Strangers” hitmaker Kenya Grace (UK) will head down under with fellow Brits The Kooks and Mura Masa. From the US, spit verses with Armani White, swoon along to Stephen Sanchez and bop with Claire Rosinkranz. From Canada, “Blame Brett” with The Beaches, make “Promises” with Jessie Reyez, then dance into the night with Meduza (ITA).

Over at the country’s favourite countdown, The Rions took out 3 spots in triple j’s Hottest 100 with “Minivan” at #38, “Scary Movies” at #40 and “Take What You Want” at #71. King Stingray’s “Lookin’ Out” reached #53, while Aussie icons Jet were busy celebrating 20 years since taking out the #1 spot with their mega hit “Are You Gonna Be My Girl”.

GTM is not just about the music, it’s also about the road trip and the destination too. Our hot tip is to take your time and enjoy multiple pit stops on the way to your Moo. Then stay to explore the region to discover all the unique offerings of the area, from coffee carts to craft markets, fresh farm produce to vintage finds and everything in between.

There’ll be heaps more news coming soon, including our Fresh Produce artists, Community program and details of how you can get involved with our Shoot the Moo and TikTok the Moo competitions. Plus, enter our UItimate Udder Mayhem Competition, where you could win Udder Mayhem tickets for you and 5 mates, a backstage tour with bonus lunch, a festival photo shoot, merch and a bar tab. Yes please!

triple j UNEARTHED

As always, our friends at triple j Unearthed are on the look out for one artist from each GTM region to add to the bill.
