The Midnight hit the stage to a highly energized and near sold-out house at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, TN on Sunday Sept 17th. The evening was an absolute fun filled event. They started the evening performance with a few tracks off their 2016 album Endless Summer before getting into some rarer played tracks as well as newer selections. A rare treat was their performance of “Lost and Found” which hadn’t been played on a tour in a while. Great energy was felt on stage and from the crowd. The band was absolutely energized and grateful to be there and play for such a high energy crowd. Lots of high energy and well timed pace of the show was perfect but time flew by too fast. I could have enjoyed another full set but the overall show was already packed with lots of high points and numbers. Their set only lasted around an hour and a half but how they stacked the evening with new and old songs it honestly felt more like a three hour set. When the band came back to perform their encore of “Good in Red,” “Lost and Found,” and “Sunset” everyone in the crowd erupted in cheers. The reactions and attitudes of everyone leaving the show afterwards were excited and happy. There was not a sad face in the crowd except that the show was over. This is a band that is highly recommended to catch live even if you aren’t that familiar with their music.
