NEW VIDEO FROM YEAR LONG DRAMA – DO YOU KNOW THAT WE KNOW WHAT YOU’VE DONE
By Shane Pinnegar

Following 2022’s debut EP NOT U, Year Long Drama drop the video for latest single Do you know that we know what you’ve done? (We know what you did).

Showcasing their pop rock foundations, Do You Know That We Know What You’ve Done? is shot in black & white and tells the story of a cheating girlfriend.

Having played with the likes of Gyroscope, Those Who Dream, The Decline, WAAX, appeared at Nannup Festival, and toured over East, Year Long Drama are going from strength to strength.

Not To Name Anyone from last year’s EP was added to radio playlists around Australia including 4ZZZ in Queensland and RTRFM in WA, and Year Long Drama’s mainstays Elissa (bass/vocals) and AJ (drums/vocals) (they’re joined live by Chris Samakovidis on guitar and vocals) have every right to expect similar things from their latest, ultra catchy and cool track.

Drummer AJ shared these thoughts with us…

On the title of the song: We wanted a song title as in your face as the song is, something where you see the song title and you go ‘??? the hell is that???’! Obviously we took a lot of influence from titles from bands like Panic At The Disco & Fall Out Boy as well.

On the song: We worked with Troy Nababan, he really helped us achieve that big pop-punk sound we had been searching for, it finally felt like we were hearing ‘year long drama’ properly for the first time!

On the music video: We wanted to do something like 7 Things by Miley Cyrus, a little bit of a 2000’s vibe, which I think is classic us, but it still keeps a bit of a storyline like our last videos.

On the music video launch: We’re very excited to launch the video at our first all-ages show! (also our first headline show!) We haven’t had a chance to play to a younger crowd before so we’re super excited for that.

Year Long Drama release their single and video this Friday, 26th May, at Night Owl Studio with support from the excellently Star Wars-referencing 12 Parsecs, Jersey Street and Oscar, Christian & Rohan.
