ZEROKING TEAMS UP WITH 100% ROCK FOR NEW SINGLE VIDEO PREMIERE – “BACK OFF”

West Virginia hard rock mavens ZEROKING release ”Back Off,” the second single and video today from their upcoming release, American Savior. The quartet has teamed up with 100% Rock to premiere the video worldwide.

The video for “Back Off” was shot in the Chesapeake Community Centre in Chesapeake, Ohio and was directed by ZEROKING guitarist, Shane Day, who also co-produced the clip along with Matt Napier for Matt Napier Film & Photo. The video concept came together quite easily according to Day, “Alan French is a friend of ours and he runs the Chesapeake Karate Academy. He always tries to engage them in different activities tied into their workout to keep it interesting for the kids, so when we were throwing around ideas for the video it just became a no-brainer.”

The video for “Back Off” stars world champion Kaelyn Kowalski of Team Revolution, and her former Chesapeake Karate Academy teammates performing in a whirlwind of karate action interspersed with gymnastics champion and co-star Justin Isaacs, who had previously worked with French.

ZEROKING – singer Andy Haught, guitarist Shane Day, bassist Paul First, and drummer & percussionist Christopher Webb – perform “Back Off” in the middle of all the action, while Kowalski and Isaacs take on double roles as she plays the role of the beautiful demon constantly stuck in Isaac’s head.

“The song and the video are both about the same thing,” says Day. “They’re both about a relationship you can’t get out of. It’s an addiction. At the end of the video Justin realizes that she only exists in his head and the demon that Kaelyn portrays is his own mind chasing itself.”

“Back Off” is taken from ZEROKING’s upcoming album, American Savior, which hits stores on 25 November through Weapon Records/ Vanity Music Group and distributed via The Orchard / Sony Music.
